The Confidant is a short musical drama, in which a young woman named Jess struggles with grief after her brother dies. The piece was created as part of an exploration into the use of audio in the portrayal of grief in the horror.

In creating this piece, I took inspiration from the sound design and narrative techniques used in films such 'The Babadook'(2014) and Hereditary(2018) and adapts them to a purely audio based form. 

I also explored my own experiences of grief and attempted to portray these through the use of emotive music.
